With restaurants now allowed to open their dining rooms/patios things are going to look a lot different. Some restaurants are still choosing to operate via carryout, curbside, or delivery in order to keep not only keep their employees safe, but also the public. Here is an update on which of my favorite spots are open. Things are still changing often, so remember to check restaurants websites and social media for the latest info. Don’t forget your mask!
Street Beet
After being closed for what seemed like an eternity, Street Beet is now opened inside 3rd St Bar for curbside carryout. Effective June 18th, the new hours are Thursday-Sunday 3-8PM. Check out their website for the updated menu at streetbeetdetroit.com and to order online. Get your vegan chicken sandwich and crunchwrap supreme fix!

Selden Standard
I am probably most excited about Selden Standard announcing their reopening June 18th for dinner service including patio seating. You can now indulge in Food & Wine’s Best New Chef, Lena Sareini’s outstanding desserts. Visit seldenstandard.com to book your reservation and review the updated dining room policy.
Chili Mustard Onions
Detroit’s only vegan coney spot is now open for curbside pickup Monday-Saturday 12-4PM, unless they sell out sooner. Orders can be placed by phone and only credit cards are accepted (no cash). No info yet on whether the dining room is open. Hopefully it’s soon! I am missing my vegan coney fix.

Ima
Effective June 10th, Ima Midtown has new hours 12-10PM, Wednesday-Sunday for carryout and delivery. Ima is asking for guests to respect social distancing and wear a mask when inside.

Grey Ghost
Grey Ghost is featuring an at-home Father’s Day kit available for pick up Saturday 6/20 from 2-5PM. Please visit their site (ghost-to-go.square.site/s/order) to place your order and to review the pick up instructions. The team has also announced they will be opening their dining room and patio June 25th with a brand new Summer menu as well as safety procedures. Reservations are now available via greyghostdetroit.com or the @resy app.
Great Lakes Coffee
Great Lakes Coffee has opened their dining room and patio. Tables are set 6 ft apart (like the rest of the restaurants) and the team asks that you wear your mask until you are seated. Enjoy a cup of Joe while soaking up some sunshine or grab a bag of beans to go! Great Lakes Coffee is open Monday-Thursday, 8AM-8PM, Friday 8AM-9AM, Saturday 9AM-9AM, and Sunday 10AM-8PM.

For the Love of Sugar
And what goes better with coffee, than dessert? Satisfy that sweet tooth with a slice of signature Triple Berry Vanilla Bean Cake. Pick up a pint of decadent frozen yogurt and mouth watering macaroons to go. But remember to be patient, everyone else has the same idea as they line up outside their favorite bake shop. Open Monday-Sunday, 11AM-6PM. Offering curbside and carryout orders only, and they are limited the number of customers inside at a time. For the Love of Sugar is testing out a couple tables inside and outside and will go from there. Visit their website and social media for the most up to date info. Please wear masks inside when ordering and practice social distancing.

SheWolf
SheWolf has announced that they are opening their doors June 18th. Website hours listed are Wednesday-Sunday 12-7PM. Visit shewolfdetroit.com for all the latest news and updates on safety protocols.
